Indignant

How can Jesus change
from being filled with
compassion to being
indignant in the very
same verse?

He didn’t. He is the same
always.

But bible translators have
done this, this new breed
of scholars, who think they
know more than the Holy
Spirit of the Living God.

There is a new voice in
bibles I don’t want to hear.
“Jesus Christ” not named
in print.

You won’t find “apostles”
or “angels” either.

Satan’s emissaries always
do their work in the name
of God.

There is a remnant in
white linen, who will not
forget the name that is
above every name,

that others will no longer
read in this new voice.
Not my voice.

Remember the truths of
the prophets and the
apostles, not by any other
name,

but by the name
you heard and the name
you read in the bible.

Poet, Writer, US Army (Retired)

I dreamed of writing when I was a youngster. The love of books and writing may have helped to dull the pain of severe sexual abuse as I was sexually abused by two men at my father’s place of work from age 8 to 12 or so. I learned about this for the first time when I was 50 years old. So, as a boy, reading was the only place I had to go to. My fantasy world was better and safer than my real world. I loved reading and writing.
Reading books and writing poetry are a joy to me still and are an important part of my life. (See my About Me page on my blog for the complete profile.)
